Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a node/validator?
A node/validator is a server that which has the aim to validate and operate for the blockchain. Every node communicates (gossips) with every other node and they share (relay) information about transactions. Depending on the type and purpose of a blockchain, one or many nodes come together to collect information and submit them into a block. This block is then proposed to other nodes to be approved, which is called as validated.
  • What is a delegator/nominator?
In blockchain technology, delegators/nominators are individual holders of crypto currency that want to contribute to the blockchain’s security and earn rewards. They do not operate a node but delegate their tokens to a validator of their choice and they are eligible to earn a percentage of the rewards for validating and minting blocks.
  • How Do I Earn Rewards?
When you stake your coins on a node on a network you help to secure the network. As a reward, validators are paid by the blockchain itself, which they then share with any nominators/stakes that have chosen their validator, pro rata by the % of nominator stake. By staking/delegating/nominating your tokens with a node from UbiquitousNodes you will enjoy the rewards for delegating your tokens.
  • How do I stake/delegate/nominate?
Everything is simple. Under each of our MainNet networks there is a link to 'Stake'. This opens network specific instructions wherer we guide you (providing links where required) through the staking/nominating process.
  • How much can I stake/delegate/nominate?
There are no restrictions. You can stake/delegate as much as you like.
  • Are there fees for staking?
Yes, a certain percentage of the staking rewards will be charged as an operator’s fee. It will be used to cover the costs of operating the node, which includes system hardware, blockchain fees (gas) and our time.

  • When can I get my tokens back?
Any time. Our validators work seamlessly 24/7/365. *Please be aware that some networks (e.g. substrate based blockchains) impose and 'unbonding' period where funds are locked (an not earning rewards) for a set period after the 'unbonding' has started. After this period has passed the coins are available to use as normal.

About Us

Based out of the United Kingdom, but with servers all over the globe, we have been running miners, nodes & validators for over 5 years.

We now focus on emerging technology including Web & cross-chain solutions, allowing us to help secure the next generation of blockchains.

We endeavor to utilize proven reliable hosting environments with the latest technology and monitoring, whilst allowing us to maximize the returns that we can offer our nominators/delegators. To this end we offer
slashing protection and refund the downtime slashing.
